We are an employee-based Summit Salon that provides continuous education and one on one mentorship through our Associates Program. This program helps you to further your skills, develop and expand your knowledge, and improve your technique as you work side by side on clients with your mentor. Newer, less experienced stylists onboarding are in the program for about 6 months while more experienced stylists may be in and out of the program a little quicker once you demonstrate your skillset and abilities.
You’ll gain some amazing insight and obtain a greater understanding of the industry as you learn from not only the owner who has over 20 years of experience in the field, but also from our other experienced team members and outside educators. Receive monthly coaching where we set goals, track progress, and develop pathways to achieve them, gaining an incredible sense of accomplishment. After completing this program, you’ll then have the skillset, ability, and most importantly, the confidence to start taking clients. This is where your amazing career truly begins as you get to play such a big role in helping so many people look and feel their absolute best.
Once you’re on your own, you’re still never alone! As a Summit Salon, we use a leveling system based on your client availability, experience, and various other factors. This leveling system will always give you something to strive for so your career and love for this industry never gets old. At Serenity, you’ll always have a team rooting for you so you never feel like you’re doing it by yourself. Maintain that perfect work-life balance with part time and full time options and with full time, you’ll receive plenty of benefits. We let our professional Front Desk Team and easy-to-use online booking system handle your appointments so when you’re home, you’re home and not worrying about work. This allows you to come to work with a fresh and clear mindset so you can focus on your clients and your craft. Since we are now a Black Elite Salon, there’s plenty of education that will be provided to you so you’ll stay up to date on all the latest trends that you can pass to our guests.

What it's all REALLY about!
There is a saying out there that people will come in and out of your life. Who are the “Rooted People” in your life? There are 3 types of people. 1, The Leaf People. These people come in and out of your life for short moments. They blow (and go) with the wind. You can’t rely on them. They only come in to take what they want and then they leave. 2, The Branch People. They are stronger but break away when life and things get tough. They may stay for a season or two but will go when situations get tougher and life gets harder. And finally 3, The Root People. These are very important people and they don’t do things to be seen or for credit. They stay during the difficult times, they will water you, grow you, they don’t move by your position, and they accept you for who you are. Only the root people will stay, no matter the season.
We strive to be the root people in our employee’s lives which is really what our Associate’s Program is for. This is why we put the importance in saying that we offer careers, not jobs. Roots develop careers and rooted people. “Jobs” are for leaf and branch people. We also keep this in mind with our clients. We aim to keep our clients for a long time because it’s our rooted clients that really keep our salon open. Our root clients along with our root employees are the heart and soul of Serenity and the Serenity Vibe.
Disclaimer: Coming to Serenity to use the Associate’s Program and then leaving Serenity shortly after just to “gain clienele” would actually do somebody a great disservice for their own growth development for several reasons. It takes a team with an incredibly talented front desk staff and a lot of moving parts behind the scenes to provide the client experience that we do and it can not be duplicated. Salon hopping is only going to delay one’s career because clients (like most people) don’t like change and a lot of clients love the stability that Serenity brings to them.
